Clearly, something is in the water in Western Mass. Umass Amherst is on a hot streak right now of seven wins straight, and eight out of their last nine. The Minutemen are outscoring opponents 49-26, including three shutouts. Not far down the road is the campus of AIC. The Yellow Jackets of AIC, are sitting comfortable on an 8-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets also are on a winning streak of three games, which included an overtime win today (Jan. 7th) over Army West Point. The overtime goal was scored off a wicked one-timer by forward Blake Bennett. My advice, keep drinking whatever is in that Western Mass water.
